When should I book my wedding appointments?
Hair and make-up appointments should be
made as soon as you set your wedding date.
Should I wear my hair up or down?
This decision should be made by you and
your hairstylist. Together, you will consider your
features and how you look in different styles, as well as
your dress and headpiece.
When should I decide on the hairstyle that I am going to
wear on my wedding day?
You should discuss your hairstyle with
your stylist before you go shopping for your headpiece.
Once your headpiece is purchased, you should make an
appointment for a bridal tryout. This allows you and your
stylist an opportunity to achieve the exact hairstyle you
will wear on your wedding day.
No one knows your face and hair like your
stylist. That is what makes them so good at choosing the
style that best suits your features. Because of this, Pilo
Arts has opened a Bridal Headpiece Center. Now you can
shop for your headpiece with your stylist by your side.
Should I change my hair color just before the wedding?
Many women want to enhance their beauty
prior to their wedding date. A change of color, adding
highlights, or simply a color glossing, are fabulous
methods for intensifying one's beauty. Pilo Arts
recommends any color change be performed a few months
prior to your wedding date, thus allowing time for any
adjustments.

consultation with our Color Specialists.
Should I have my make-up professionally applied the day of
the wedding?
This is a definite must. Pilo Art's
professional make-up artists will create the perfect
application for photographs that will last all day into
evening. Pilo Arts recommends having a make-up tryout the
same day as your hair tryout. This will give you an
opportunity to discuss color preference and see exactly
how you will look on your wedding day.

When should I have a facial?
A proper regimen, including deep cleansing
facials and home care, are always advisable. Facials
eliminate blackheads and whiteheads, giving skin a
smoother appearance. Proper home care, prescribed by a
Pilo esthetician, will ensure a radiant complexion. The
day before the wedding, make time for a 4-layer facial
without deep pore cleansing. This will give your skin a
beautiful glow, allowing your wedding day make-up to have
a porcelain finish.
When you make your facial appointments,
include Mom. Remember it is not everyday her daughter gets
married. She will certainly want to look and feel her
best.

Can I be on my honeymoon and not worry about shaving?
Yes, by beginning regular leg and bikini
waxing 4 to 6 months prior to your wedding. You can wear
your bathing suit or sexiest lingerie without worrying
about unwanted hair.
With all the stress involved in making wedding plans what
can I do to relax?

tremendous stress while trying to execute the perfect

other to a massage and/or body treatment. Pilo Arts

What can I do to ensure beautiful hands and nails, as
everyone will view my wedding ring?
From the time of your engagement to your
wedding day, your hands will receive plenty of attention.
It is important they look their best. Pilo Arts recommends
the following options. Start having manicures on a regular
basis. Ask the nail technician to use nail strengtheners
or apply silk wraps to protect your nails so they grow
long and at one length. If your nails are very short, you
may opt for nail tips, which are actual nail extension
that will give your hands a more graceful look.
How can I have smoother softer hands?
Use a hand cream such as Pilo's Invisible
Glove every evening before bed. This will soften and
protect your hands. On the day of your wedding, allow time
for a paraffin hand treatment. This is a warm wax applied
over a rich hand cream. Your hands will be unbelievably
soft. Do not be surprised if your groom holds them all
evening long.
Make sure your groom has great looking
hands by making him an appointment for a manicure and
paraffin hand treatment the day before the wedding.
What services are available for men?
Today, more and more men are placing an
importance on good grooming by having haircuts every 4 to
5 weeks as well as weekly manicures and monthly pedicures.
At Pilo Arts, we also see many men requesting highlights
to accent their natural color. Along with regular workouts
and sports activities, men are also taking the time for
facials, massages and even body waxing as part of their
grooming routine.
If your intended groom has not yet taken
the time for these grooming services, why not make the
appointments for him.
I would like to do something special for my bridal party.
Do you have any ideas? A great way to
show your appreciation is by hosting a spa day for your
bridesmaids and ushers. Pilo Arts will pamper your bridal
party with facials, massages, manicures and pedicures.
Call our bridal consultant to design a
custom spa package for each member of your party.
When should my mother and bridesmaids make their hair and
make-up appointments for the wedding?
Your mom, future mother in-law and
bridesmaids should make their hair and make-up
appointments once the wedding date is set.
With large wedding parties, select one
person to make all the appointments. This will avoid
double booking or forgetting to include someone.
