The interaction of sun light with stained glass is the inspiration behind this cutting edge color technique.  The overlaying of three or more complimentary colors (such as gold, orange with red; or blue, purple with violet) allows the hair to reflect the subtle warm and cool tones of light.
This reflection of light through the stain glass paneled effect allows for richer hues of  the purple, gold and burgundy.
